Zakynthos is always a good idea but the advantage to cruise to Zante from the South of Kefalonia is definitely shorter distance and cost then from the North. Starting from the South in an hour you can be on the famous Shipwreck beach (Navagio beach). The bad news is that during the summer 2023 due to the safety reasons approach to the beach is forbidden, but the good news is that the approach to the beach is forbidden and you can finally see the Shipwreck and this beautiful beach as it is on the postcards, not overcrowded with people, and you can make your own postcard too. As for the swimming, just like around the Myrtos bay on Kefalonia, there are tens of amazing bays with the same high white cliffs background, white sand beach and turquoise sea.The second highlight of the Zakynthos are Blue caves, a place to swim, have fun, jump and snorkel. And the cherry on the top of the cake is our always favourite organic restaurant, with that special atmosphere of seaside lodge as they call it.
